Converse Shoes & Newlyweds
Yes, you heard me right! Converse shoes at a wedding! This couple gave me a last minute phone call this last weekend asking me to do a shoot for them at the Salt Lake City Capitol! It was a beautiful, partly cloudy day, and they absolutely rocked it! (If you don’t know what converse shoes are, shame on you, can go check them out here!)
A few of the coolest details I got from the shoot are their matching Converse shoes, and the ring shots. Speaking of the shoes, that was one of the first things they showed me when me met up at the capitol! They were so excited, and their energy was contagious! I love Converse, because… they’re Converse!!
On this first shot, I loved the bright contrast the dress has against the stone. It makes for a really pretty shot.
I am still impressed by how well my Canon Rebel T1i will perform still. The other day my shutter started to make noises (probably noises of slow mechanical death) when I was shooting some video with my friend who recently started a new YouTube channel called Cinema Tricking. Anyway, back to my camera, I’ve had it since I was in high school and it was considered cutting edge (consumer) technology. I loved it when I first got it, but I’ll be honest, I had no idea how to pull its potential out.
I feel like it’s time I upgrade, but I’m not quite sure what my next move will be in my photography so I’m gonna wait for now.
Okay, so here’s the ring shot. Gorgeous lighting, and a lamp post that looks like the Eiffel Tower. Yay, Salt Lake City, you’re so exotic in your lamp post…ing.
